Leach, Buckie

Buckie Leach is one of the most successful Foil coaches in US Fencing History. His students have won more international medals in Women's Foil than any US coach or club combined. Buckie was US Olympic Coach in 1996, 2000 and 2004. He has placed 5 athletes on US Olympic Teams and 2 on Canadian Olympic Teams. With Rochester partner, Nat Goodhartz, Leach set a higher standard for International results for American juniors.   The Rochester Fencing Centre changed the game in the United States by sometimes avoiding popular US tournaments for travelling to Europe thus upping the ante.  The Zimmermann sisters together won 7 US foil titles and had enormous international success.  The accomplishments of Buckie's athletes include:

- 5 World Cadet (U-17) World Champions
- 1 Junior World Champion
- 1 Silver Medal, Junior World Championship
